Ladies Chinese Tour
During 14th – 17th May, 2014, the 3rd tournament of CLPGA named as Buick Invitational had been held in Shanghai Qizhong Garden Golf Club. This tournament was the only one ladies professional golf tournament title sponsored by Buick in the world. 97 players came from China, Korea, Thailand, Australia, New Zeland, Malaysia, Brunei, Taiwan and other countries and areas, including champion of JLPGA - Ye Liying, winner of merit of CLPGA - Ye Na Chung, and national team player of China – Li Jiayun.
Compared with other regular CLPGA events, Buick Invitational achieved novel developments both in the amount of prize and the format of competition. A total prize of $50,000 was divided into $40,000 for individual event and $10,000 for Pro-Am team event. The field of 108 players from the CLPGA played in a 72-hole individual stroke play competition with a cut to the leading 50 professionals and those tied after the second round. However, every player making the cut was assigned an amateur partner for the unique Pro-Am team event running concurrently, with a purse of USD $50,000.
