Buick Championship 2016
Ladies European Tour
Buick Championship, made to be a $6-million local grand slam tournament, which was co-approved by LET and CLPGA, took place in Shanghai Qizhong Garden Golf Club on 12th May, 2016. The tournament attracted many top players including China’s Feng Shanshan, China’s Lin Xiyu, South Korean Na Yeon Choi and other world-class players of LET and new stars of China golf (The field of 108 players came from 28 different countries and areas.) The tournament, therefore, was so-called as the skirmish of Rio Olympics in 2016.
Eventually, Shanshan Feng retained her Buick Championship title with a play-off victory over Na Yeon Choi after an exciting final round duel at Shanghai Qizhong Garden Golf Club.
